Slowing down a stock setup (titans in series??)
 

Hello everybody. What are some ways to slow down a stock setup?
I heard people run their titans in series. Anybody done that?
What ESC wires should I use, and do I do with the left-overs?
Will the ESC suffer from this? How will this affect runtime?

The EVX runs its motors in parallel on the circuit board. You could remove two of the motor wires. What I did on mine is take 12ga. wire and split the ends to go into both wire holes on the circuit board, since 12ga. is too large in diameter to fit into one 14ga. wire hole. (I hope this makes sense)
Then from the two 12ga. wires, you could have each one go to each motor, then put a wire between the motors to connect them in series.

Do you mean, in principle, connecting both red and both black wires and run the motors in series between the connected wires?

And what about the other 2?

Don't think it'll make much difference if you join them or not. As long as the spare wires are not left exposed you'll be ok. BTW running your motors in series will theoretically double run time. May I ask why you want a truck less powerful than stock? - stocks already pretty slow!

Why noy just solder the two red and two black wires together (red to red and black to black) and run your series connection from there. Run the red wire to the red post on one motor and the black to the blackpost on the other motor and run a jumper off the remaining posts

Why daniel? Running in series will double the the windings in the motors. It they are 21 it would be like a 42 turn motor. I think. But any way sounds like a good crawler or something. Have to let us know how it turns out.

He lives in Switzerland, it snows there, maybe he's gonna mix snow and rc's again.

Why? Shifting of generations here :) Junior will inherit my stock E-Maxx, and half the speed will be just right for him to get used to. When he gets better, I can always re-parallel it.
He was driving around with an old Tamiya Lunchbox, but I feel he's ready for the Maxx next summer. He's 5 now, btw. And he seems to love the look of the 2 motors.

The EMaxx was my fun-basher vehicle. Have it snowproof in wintertime, with a stock chassis, and foolproof in summer, with an old GMaxx chassis. :) The Revoxx was my racer. But now, with a nice G2R in the works, I turned the first Revo into a mean basher!
Here are a few pics of my new basher, just for fun. And No, the titans in series will not end on it! The motor stays! LOL
