RD Logics CVDs

I saw a 6 piece set of RD Logics CVDs (f/r/c) on eBay going for $70, and I was wondering if these are good replacement parts if the final intent is to go brushless with a Warrior 9918/Feigao 9L setup.

If these are good, I may go ahead and get them, and maybe upgrade the steering blocks to the RPM blocks with the larger bearings.

The RDLogics center cvds won't work on an e-maxx (t-maxx and e-maxx differ in size here, as well as the tranny outdrive being a different diameter-so the drivecups won't fit). The front/rear work fine. I carry these cvds. I also carry Integy steering blocks, which also have the larger bearing and are about the same weight as the RPM (same price, too).

Thanks for the info, Mike.

No problem.

So then what about the center drive shafts for the E-Maxx? Are there CVDs available? or do the stockers hold up to the brushless power?

RC-Monster Mike 03.03.2005 02:28 PM

Unlimited Engineering makes titanium center shafts that most use. They aren't cheap, but they are pretty much bulletproof. I am working on a potentially less expensive alternative, but for now, I would recommend the UE set.

As always, you're a bottomless pool of useful knowledge. Thanks!

I'm trying to lay out an upgrade plan that won't put me into sticker shock. :D

Hey Mike,
I am in need of some center CVDs for my new chassis, do you have a link where I can buy the UE CVDs for an E-Maxx?
I went to their site and couldnt find them for an E-Maxx.
Thanks

Is this is what your looking for ?

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 03.06.2005 06:47 AM

I think so. Is it the SKU# 13513T SuperMaxx Titanium Center Driveshaft Kit, E-Maxx Chassis for $45 that I am looking for?

HotnCold 03.06.2005 07:16 AM

13511T - i think this one is the one you will need - i will differ to mike on this one - are you running ext chassis?

RC-Monster Mike 03.06.2005 11:19 AM

the 13513t is for the stock length chassis, the 13511t is for the ext. Your both right.

HotnCold 03.06.2005 11:47 AM

I knew that

Superemaxx89 03.06.2005 03:39 PM

mike,
what material are you gonna make your center cvd out of?
