Now let's check it out...and see how it luks like

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886884636/" title="IMG_1550 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2526/3886884636_6686b90e48_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_1550" /></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886088819/" title="IMG_1551 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2530/3886088819_7214789f0e_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_1551" /></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886090597/" title="IMG_1552 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2564/3886090597_7d669134b5_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_1552" /></a>

Question: what will be gear ratio???

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886078775/" title="IMG_1545 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2519/3886078775_f698f98c4c_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1545" /></a>

And final question: Max speed?

just 103k/h

Due to:

car run without body,
ugly heavy batt pack,
short run around <150m,
and 6-cell A123 batt pack = 3.3V x 6 = 19.8V instead of 3.7V x 6 = 22.2V Lipo pack

The next modification is coming,..plz wait till the next mod comes... I have just done my 2nd mod... Now this time got lower COG plus body

Ryu James 09.04.2009 09:30 AM

103 km/h.. That about 63mph...

sujuara 09.04.2009 10:20 AM

103k/h... quite disappointed me that day..... i was really upsad.... but at the end of the day, i found out there was some reasons did slow my car down... like used A123 instead of Lipo pack, car run without body,... not at full throttle for long due to many people around, specially kids,

I have just re-modified my car again, which allowed car running with Lola body, and will run with 2 x 3s this time... will upload pics as soon as I can

brushlessboy16 09.04.2009 10:46 AM

looks good, definately need to rethink your battery though- that cant be good for handling.

Is it just me or is your gear mesh really loose?

sujuara 09.04.2009 10:58 AM

no... just gear.... coz my one way bearing is gone,..so was running on my mate one way bearing which is belong to Velox...that's why it seems loose...... i just put them back temporarily for pics...

im now uploading pics of my 2nd mod... will arrive soon

sujuara 09.04.2009 11:36 AM

Here we go...it's me again.... as said before... this time will show you how my 2nd mod ...luks like :.... Let's start with the chassis again <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3887423296/" title="IMG_1593 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2575/3887423296_8e51a51613_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1593" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886624099/" title="IMG_1592 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2461/3886624099_512397236f_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_1592" /></a> As we all can see from my 1st mod... there was giant batt pack sitting on top of the car... which not allowed me to have body on top of the car,... plus make car more heavier,..etc.... If you keep close luk at the above pics, y'all will see there are 2-flat-alu bar hanging out on both sides of car. So wat 's da point?.... Welll...very simple...to carry the batt pack... As the motor only run on 6-cell, so I just bought new ESC which specially for car, not for aircraft like my last mod. So wat ESC i m gonna use this time?... Here we go,..chick this out,... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3887425942/" title="IMG_1594 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2571/3887425942_4ce2ec6e1b_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1594" /></a> HObbywing EZrun 150A-SD Due to my A123 pack..just ... HUGE... too GIANT to fit on..... then I cut them in half.... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886599251/" title="IMG_1583 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2636/3886599251_23afa5938e_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1583" /></a> Well... now ..how it luks like.. when i put them all together,.... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886590623/" title="IMG_1580 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3502/3886590623_6f14fba190_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1580" /></a> ooooppsss... look like i forgot something...... well... my little pinky-lola-body.... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3887384440/" title="IMG_1579 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3483/3887384440_ec7ac4f55a_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1579" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3887381926/" title="IMG_1578 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3486/3887381926_4f6e385122_b.jpg" width="768" height="1024" alt="IMG_1578" /></a> And the final question: wht will be gear ratio this time?.... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/13453892@N04/3886618593/" title="IMG_1590 by sujuara, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2510/3886618593_47b2090697_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1590" /></a> ..Exactly same as before.... but this time i will try the 2 x 3s lipo pack... and have my throttle at full for long.... definitely LONG.....

Byte 09.04.2009 12:48 PM

I like the body! I simply love that color for a body, so simple and cool

I'm curious how fast it'll be

sujuara 09.04.2009 10:21 PM

well... my girl had body done for me....

_paralyzed_ 09.05.2009 03:41 AM

i'm pretty sure 2 x 3s and 1 x 6s will have similar speeds with the same gearing.

the new esc won't change things much but that pink lola body might add 15kph.............

Semi Pro 09.05.2009 01:42 PM

looks like a good project, i have a serpent laying around that needs to be converted too

sujuara 09.06.2009 09:32 AM

It was a nice weekend over here... Unfortunately i didnt have my car run for real test as it's just too windy to blow away my car...

Anyway i did try to run my car,... And well... Not even make it as 80k/h....

1st run with 2 x 3 s lipo.... My batt packs cooked.... Pretty sad then

2nd run .. With 2 x 3s A123 .....Car run at 80k/h max ... Didnt know why.. After 2 runs... I worked it out that the one way bearing wasnt able to handle the power from motor... So at certain speed... Bearing just spinning itself.... Even this is brand new one way bearing... so i think why my car just got suck when it was up to 100k/h. last run (1st mod)...

Well that wat happened today.... When i was back home just re-modified gearing system again.... And just had it all done.... by removing the one way bearing,... And had the 2nd spur gear locked with its clutch....

And now all i have to do is just wait till next weekend to test this babe... Will have pic of my new gearing system uploaded ASAP
