Buggy conversion

Thanks to the influence of virusss and my Maxx been a pain to get parts for, going to convert a buggy.

I'm thinking of a EB4 s3. Just wondering how I would gear it and mounting the motor? Does anyone know where I could get those plastic battery holders from too?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't know about gearing or mounting the motors. But those battery cups are made by associated. Unfortunately for you (and me) I don't know of anywhere that stocks them in the UK, but plenty of places in the US have them

I use TwinForce battery holders on mine.

They hold 7 cell Ni packs, and work fine.

Mike has some in stock.

I searched the site and can't find a link to this... do you have to email Mike to ask for them, or is there a link I'm missing?

Mike has them. I not sure about if they listed. Drop him an email. He can hook you up.

Keep in mind that whatever buggy you convert should have the capability to run a plastic spur gear, or the ability to use a center diff that uses a plastic spur.

Is it me, or is the BL buggy thing starting up again?

Battery trays very important..

Dafni, nice set-up I have the same set-up also on kyosho mp6 international
I use the twinforce battery holders also, very strong and durable.:003:

how do you attach the battery box to the chassis? doublesided tape, or screw it in somehow?

Romster 02.15.2006 12:03 AM

Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks to Mike for shipping them out so fast!

These look like they'll work great - only one question... the one side of the battery tray seems to take body clips to hold it down, but I don't understand why the otherside is different. It seems to want screws to hold it down, but I don't understand how the battery would be easy to take out if you have screws holding one side down.

I wonder if just wrapping thin wire through those holes would work... what are you guys doing?

I went check it out. It looks as if he has a clutchbell on the end of the motors, or is it just my eyes????

Use 2 3mm screws on one side, this are will flex to release and change the battery. Works fine. Never had a problem there.
