Just curious...

I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Mike several days ago and some parts were not in stock, so a wait is understandable. I was looking at my bank account last night and noticed the charge from RC-Monster and it was higher than my shopping cart was (due to items not able to be added because they were out of stock). I checked the availability of a few of the out of stock items and they are still out of stock. Does the charge mean the back ordered parts came in and are being shipped? Or is it simply the charge for everything and will ship later? I would ask Mike, but I'm sure he's busy and I figure this scanario has been seen before from my fellow forum members. :)

I'm not complaining or anything, just curious (as the title says). I'd just like to know if I should start getting exciting now? :)

Are you sure your taking the shipping cost into account? Something easy to miss.

MaxxFusion 02.15.2006 09:42 AM

I just looked at your order and Mike is waiting on the motor and custom shafts to come in before he ships.

Thanks

BrianG 02.15.2006 11:09 AM

Thanks MaxxFusion! I wasn't expecting someone to actually look at the order, but I appreciate it!

Maxxdude, I think you misunderstood me a little. I only mentioned the fact the order amount was higher to point out my suspicion that the backorder items had arrived. The amount is not the issue as I actually spent substantially less than I had originally planned (due to falling costs and my 5% coupon). I'm still anxious for everything to arrive, but at least I won't be diving for the mailbox every day thinking a package will be there! :)

I understand you're not complaining or worried, but let me tell you this: Mike is as honest as it can get, and he always processes stuff as fast as possible.
And I'm sure he wouldn't mind a quick e-mail. Just ask him about the status of your order.

Sneeck 02.15.2006 11:55 AM

Speaking of Mike, where has he been?

(just like to know if he has received my spyder 8 diff)

I never recieved my 5% coupon. I got an email saying one would be sent shortly, but it never was......:012:

Maxxdude, mikes takes the 5% off your next order. No need for coupons.

Sneek, Mike is still aroud. Write him an e-mail if you need to get in contact. He's very busy at the moment and visits the forum only on the weekend (when he finds the time).

still on the topic of mike does he have another job or is selling rc stuff his fulltime job(i dont see how he would have time to do anything else)

Okay, I take the liberty to answer this one.
Mike had a day job until most recently! He did this RCM business in his free time. Amazing, but true. Let's all give a standing ovation!

Now, he spends all his time ordering and shipping parts, and building trucks for customers. He doesen't even have much time anymore for going to the track, according to HotnCold.
Mike told me he spends 15 hours a day on RCM business, and 7/7 days, mostly.

Again, I give him the most respect for dedicating this much time and effort into making us, his customers, happy.
He surely deserves to be able to stay away from a day job, and to turn his hobby into a job.

My hats off to you mike

You hit that one right on the head Daf. I can confirm this - I just got off the phone with him - Guess what he is doing - Orders, packing and shipping. You will not find someone more dedicated to this hobby than Mike.

Sylvester 02.15.2006 05:26 PM

He is one of the busyest men ive seen, it sure doesnt get more serious than this, mike, youve got a great job!

maxxdude1234 02.16.2006 11:39 AM

You sure he's not a robot or anything? I think I'd go mad working that much in a week - even on rc stuff! :019: Still, hats off to the man, he knows how to take care of his customers, no way I'd ever shop anywhere else.
