Lehner Basic question

I don't see or hear much about the Lehner Basic XL line here. Are there any general opinions or experiences with these motors in a emaxx 14 cell application? I know most people prefer to recommend the Wanderer XLs, but since the Basics are readily available in the storefront (and I'm impatient), would there be any real strong reason to not go that way (other than the price difference which is immaterial)? Thanks,

Steve

I run a 2000XL on 18cells, and it does good. I believe squeeforever used to use a 3100XL on 14cells, but has now changed to a wanderer XL. The wanderers will run much cooler and therefore more efficiently. Anyway, the wanderers are marked up as in stock in the store. A wanderer 8XL/9920 will be just the ticket for 14cells

Where did you see the wanderer's in stock?

I think the only ones available are 10xl and higher... If I click on anything else I get the "out of stock" popup message.

I see what you mean. All I can suggest is emailing Mike and asking him when he'll be getting more wanderers in stock.

i think but am not sure that he is expecting them anyday now. i wouldnt really recommend the lehner basic xls. i ran the xl3100 on 12 cells and it was wicked fast in my maxx (close to 50mph) but when i put it in a little bit heavier revo it didnt like it to much and nomatter what the gearing was it was still to hot for my liking. i would strongly recommend the wanderer xls. i currently have a 10xl to run on 16 cells in my e-revo but am waiting on a strobe slipper. i will let you know how it performs.
