how to get around the schools blocks....

after 2 weeks of no blocks on at school they decided to block just about every RC forum/ebay/etc out there:diablo::diablo::diablo::diablo::diablo:

anyone know a way to get around them?

FYI I'm a senior in HS....

I would just try a proxy, that's what I did when I was in the military and they blocked sites. Eventually they'll catch on, but there's lots of proxy's. (proxies?)

In many other forums, asking this would get you banned as you are illegally trying to navigate past school security systems. So no, I will not help you

Use a proxy. If they ask just say "well it wasnt blocked"

and then they can do nothing.

Download ultrasurf here

put in on a flash drive and run it at school

Our school blocks lots of stuff too. Almost all the proxies you can find easily are blocked, and if you do find a new one, they will block it in a few days.

So I somewhat cleverly came up with the idea to set up a proxy on my own computer to connect to over the internet. I have a dynamic IP address, so it will change every day or two, or each time I restart the modem, meaning they won't be able to block me because I'll get a new IP address every day :mdr:.

That's just the theory, as I'm taking 4.5 AP classes this year, one of which is a computers class, I don't really have much time to do other stuff on the internet anyways. I've not really looked very hard for something to set up a proxy on my computer, but a friend of mine did successfully set one up and connect to it at school, so I know it's possible.

Good luck,
Brijar!!!

yeah they will get onto proxy sites pretty quickly but there are so many!!
pick one that dosent have a give away word in the name.
at school i use: is-fun.info
that is simple and not too give away imo.
i have been getting away with it for 3 years, make sure you dont tell anyone about it though, as soon as 2 or 3 people start using it then they think that something is up.

Hahaha Illegal thats funny!

And really? Banned? I say go for it! The blocks are pretty silly, I got popped for playing online games a few times, ya that was some serious illegal activity. :diablo:
