reversing DX3s remote start channel

i hope i am missing something here...
you see i have just got my monster back and hooked up the horns to the revo via a shitty (dosent work like it should right from the start ) turnigy receiver controlled switch.
so when i hold the remote start button on the transmitter, the horns are off, release the button and they are on.
need to reverse this action and i dont know how.
yes i could hook them up to the proper AUX channel but it's less convinient.
can someone help me?

Would reversing the polarity/connectors where the horn connects up work or the turnigy switch maybe?

shaunjohnson 09.22.2009 07:33 AM

don't think so.
the turnigy switch has a jumper that can be placed in different positions to allow the switch to operate in different manors. like normally on or normally off.
trouble is...nothing i do with the damn jumper does anything to the switch!

Try reversing the aux channel on the radio.

was curious about that remote start button myself.... was thinking of running the cc blower off it and switching it on and off with the remote start button but sounds like its not going to work like i want it too

well as far as i know the remote start button is a mono-directional, momentary on channel.
so it will drive a servo as it still has PWM on the 3rd wire.

manual does not say anything on the subject :rules:

i emailed horizon RC but chances are i'll never get a response from them...slack CS.

no the manual just states the rs can be used in either the bind or aux port. I was hoping for a pic of the switch and this "jumper wire" you speak of.

I'd contact spektrum directly.

Out of curiosity what doesn't work about it? I bought a couple of them to put remote turn on lights on a couple projects, but havn't used any of them. I read some problems people were having with them on the hc forums, but I was thinking they figured it out. Had to have the switch, and thing being switched grounded the same.

How about this (second item down): http://www.emsjomar.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6

It's larger, but the switched circuit is isolated from the control circuit (receiver) and can switch up to 24v and 20A.

shaunjohnson 09.24.2009 05:33 PM

what doesent work about it is the fact that the jumpers one must put across 2 of the 4 pins to change the way the switch works (normaly on, normally off, flashing etc) nothing you do to the switches changes anything on the device.
and brian....this switch is also isolated from the mains power...
so ive got it switching 6s lipo on/off and it is being activated for the reciver, 6v.

direct from spektrum themselves...

Shaun,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. The auxiliary channel can be reversed
on the transmitter. I'm not sure which function you are referring to as
the "remote start" function on the radio.

I hope you find this information useful. If you have any further
questions, please reply to this e-mail give us a call at 1-877-504-0233.

now isnt that silly....they designed it and even he cant tell me what the remote start function actually is!!:surprised::rofl::rofl:
