There was a discussion on here earlier hippie. I can't remember which thread. I am not sure on which one to tell you to get. I search for that thread.

We're coming out with a new power supply as well as a new power supply distribution block! Hang on for a week or two, trust me, it will be worth the wait!

Alex i would but i cant because my chargers use a power supply.

Alex Berman 02.19.2006 09:24 PM

lol - How soon do you need it? I could sell you my test unit when it comes soon!

What kind of stuff can we expect from this power supply? I am interested in one my self. Hey hippie if you have to use your car battery. That should get you some run times.

rchippie 02.19.2006 09:34 PM

Leroy i thought about using a car battery.

Alex when it comes to electronic stuff i prefer to by new & established, no offense intended.

Coolhand,
The Power Supply is going to be a modded computer power supply. I'm getting a guy thats known for good work to make a bunch for us at a reasonable price. I've been pushing mine to the limits this weekend (3 chargers at once - 5A each!) and its been working great. It has outputs for 12v, 5v, and 3.3v. We're also coming out with a power supply distribution block - you can hook up a bunch of chargers to one 12v line (on the PSU) and it keeps the wires from getting tangled etc - a very very nice unit in my opinion - I absolutely love mine. Maybe when you pick up some Li-Mns we can work out a package deal.... Btw, do you have an E-revo? I'm thinking of building one up and can't decide if it will perform better than my E-maxx.....

Hippie,
I'm the owner of Boom Boom Batteries - we're somewhat established (our stuff is sold on RC-monster), but I can see you wanting to buy from the big guys. No offence taken.

Alex do you have a price range for your power supply ?. And how big will it be ?.

Also i have a EVO done in dafni style, im pretty sure it will out perform a emaxx

squeeforever 02.20.2006 12:00 AM

i have one similar to dafnis and hippies and it DEFINATLY will outperform almost any maxx. mine with a owb in the front shaft handles like a dream.

I see a project in the future :) - As for price range, I'll know soon, but can't tell you at this point..

Is this in the wrong place squee. :005:

I don't have a revo alex. Hippie sure does though. Last I saw of it it was right pretty. I have a power supply out of a computer. I not sure the rating on it. I think it is like a 350 watt. I was thinking of making a box to house the power supply with the plugs on it. If the power supply goes bad just unplug it and get a new one. It is just a thought though.
