mod 1,5= 1/5 scale ??
Hi !
Are mod 1.5 piniongears the same size as 1/5 gascar gears ? |

This should help. The module or "mod" of a gear basically describes how many teeth per a given circumference. Mod 1.5 doesn't have anything to do with the scale of the vehicle. |
i know that ! But i'd like to know if those mod 1,5 gears works in a 1/5 truck ?
|
Sorry, the way you titled the post "Mod 1.5 = 1/5th scale?" I thought you were asking if there was some correlation between the two numbers.
|
Yes, those gears were made just for the baja 5b conversion that coming soon, so yes it will fit a 5th scale cars.

all of the 1/5 scale vehicles i have seen or used have gears that mod 1.5. but be careful, the stock 1/5th scale pinion gears have a 10mm bore so you cant use a RCM mod1.5 pinion to replace a stock pinion. they work for brushless conversions when using a Neu motor. the european motors like the bolido and lehner have a 10mm shaft. if you use one of those motors for a conversion you need to find a way ream out a RCM pinion or adapt an FG/stock pinion to work. why do you ask about this? are you converting a 1/5th scale soon?
