Wheel nuts stock?

I have a problem with my Losi Aftershock.

My Mambamaxx have eaten the hex on one of the wheels, and now that I want to change the wheels, I cannot loosen the wheelnut on the 3 others.

I have not been using threadlock on them.

Anybody have an idea on what to do?

So you want to take off the other three wheels? Hold the stripped hex and keep it from moving. Maybe use a vice or something. That should solve your problem.

If the tires on the truck, (which he's trying to get off) how can he hold the hex in a vice......

Oh! What i thought he was trying to do was get the other three tires off, and the stripped one was off.

Ok, do your best to take off that side of the truck. Get the hub carrier off the a arm and take the drive shaft out. You should be able to hold the drive cup with a pliers and spinn the hex off. If you need me to I can get some pics tomorrow of one of my trucks describing how to do it.

I ended up using my dremel to cut off my rims on 2 of them because I stupidly used industrial strength loctite on them. It's easier to grip the wheel hubs later on to take out the wheel nuts.

You need to ditch the stock plastic 14mm hexes and go to something bigger. 17mm minimum (and since you are going to buy some new wheels anyways). I like the 20mm losi hexes, but that requires that you convert to lst2 arms, hubs, knuckles, cvd, and wheels. Still a good idea if you plan to bash that aftershock hard. The lst2 stuff is much stronger.

Actually I already bought new hexes and wheels (Proline 23mm. HD and Commando beadlocks with Moabs).

I guess I just have to destroy the old rims, since they are going to the trash anyway.

Thanks for the inputs guys.
