Power Jazz 63V - Wo hohe Kräfte sinnvoll walten....

High Power – well organized

Even its appearance shows that it‘s a strong one. Based on the JAZZ software we developed an ESC like none before among Kontroniks product range:

* 13-63V, i.e. 18-45 cells NiCd/NiMH or 5-15S LiPo

* The spilled housing of the Power Jazz 63V gives perfect protection against mechanical damage. Additionally it makes the Power Jazz 63V 100% waterproof.

* The Power Jazz is 100% protectet against reversal polarity. The exchange of plus and minus of the battery, no matter how long, does not damage the ESC.

Which one?

Superemaxx89 02.20.2006 05:30 PM

the jazz, though i think it is designed for heli-boat-airplane, is awesome and should work with cars. But i would just play it safe w/ bk

Serum 02.20.2006 05:38 PM

VERY nice!

it also has got a build in anti spark circuit against damaging the plugs.

Too bad it has got no proportional brake Viruss!

Serum 02.20.2006 05:40 PM

What is an EMF brake? has anyone got an idea? Looks interesting, this controller.. :)

virusss 02.20.2006 05:45 PM

he seems very interesting, if it were for machine...

maxxdude1234 02.20.2006 05:46 PM

EMF = Electro Motive Force? In that case it would mean it has an electrical brake

virusss 02.20.2006 05:50 PM

on the datasheet, it does not have the "proportional brake"...
to difference of jazz the Jazz 70 Car that has it

Serum 02.20.2006 05:51 PM

Yeah, i guess.. But it's not proportional, according to the specs. well, you need to adapt your drive style a bit.. More digital.. ON/OFF

Superemaxx89 02.20.2006 05:53 PM

or get mechanical brakes:027:

virusss 02.20.2006 05:55 PM

serum, you refer to the brake of jazz the 70 car?

would that mean you eather have full brake or no brake at all.
that could be very hard on the drivetrain.

BrianG 02.20.2006 08:25 PM

That controller is nice looking! 63v and 120A. Nice. I like the spilled housing - I wonder if that makes the controller itself water resistant, or is there a way for water to work its way into the ESC from the heatsink. I don't submerge my ESC, but it would be nice to have one that could take splashes worry-free.

boss 302 02.20.2006 08:47 PM

Kontronics say that it is 100% water proof but the non proportional brakes are what sucks. i wonder how much it costs???
