Mamba maxx Pro is out!

I guess no one has checked out the castle website with all the hype of the new traxxas vehicle. Here it is! http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...a_max_pro.html

1 year warranty!!

Don't see any motors,,, yet..

I searched for the Mamba Max Pro on Ebay and there is one for sale.

The guy was a beta tester. He said he never even tested the thing, and now he's selling it. I don't know if Castle would be too happy about that...

brushlessboy16 10.08.2009 08:50 PM

already a thread about it...

He was reported to ebay

simplechamp 10.08.2009 08:52 PM

Is he breaking any Ebay rules or breaking his beta test agreement with Castle?

It's funny that the users guide mentions that the MMP is packaged with the CM-36 motors 4600Kv-9000Kv motors. I forsee a lot of 6S motor explosions. I know they are working on the new motors but the average joe is going to blow up some stuff. Ther is no mention of RPM limits or anything like that even though I know the motors have the cell count they can handle on the sticker, it's coming.

I think this is the one I am going to get but I'll wait for some lower Kv motors.

beta testing is the company sending you out an esc FOR FREE.

and you test it and send it back..

what is done after that is on the behalf of the company.

You cant take the esc they gave you to test and sell it... because you didnt pay for it.

The link in the other thread was different than this one I saw, are you sure they were both reported?

Hmmm, I'm salivating--a MMP on 6s with one of the 21.5 turn motors already on the market (until Castle comes out with something better:) )in the new 4wd Slash=lot's of fun!

I did run such a setup in a Rustler, but forgot to datalog it. Motor used was an LRP 21.5(1800kv). I swapped out the 12.5MM rotor for the 14MM for some more torque.

See that's why I always say datalog everything.

hehehhee, wanna race on Sunday and have a datalog fest at Randy's?

J57ltr 10.09.2009 11:22 AM

I'm game, got everything back together got the magnets mounted in the Diff and sensor installed but it it's as bad as the brushless rpm sensor. Also got the dogbones and steel out drives, so I won't be snapping axle stubs every launch.

How about your subjective data-logging?
How did it run?
