Paint Remover??
 

I screwed up on my slash body. Will anything take the few coats of paint and rubber coating I put on it off?

Break fluid for 10 min and some elbow grease worked for lexan paint. Rubber did you say rubber? Maybe rub the rubber with your finger to try to get it to heat up and start balling up and peeling off. Plastic dip spray or what is it?

Brake fluid has worked well for me on old tamiya abs bodies, never tried it on lexan though. Have used nitro fuel on lexan with good results, higher the nitro the better. If you have some laying around I'd give it a try.

Laquer thinner will pull it right off, shouldn't hurt the lexan either.

laquer thinner will take the paint off, but will make the lexan brittle and cloudy.

i'll give it a shot. Just soak it in a bucket full of break fluid for ten minutes(easy enough)? Any rinsing or wiping?

Depending on the paint it may take longer than that. On the old tamiya bodies, that had regular spray paint, I had to soak them overnight or so to get it to start peeling back. It will start to wrinkle up then you can just scrub it off with an old toothbrush.

When you get the paint off you will want to clean the body very throughly with something like simple green, as the brake fluid will leave residue that will not let paint stick.

I have 3 gallons of simple green on the work bench. I love the stuff and home depot had a sale on the stuff so I stocked up. Will leaving it on over night hurt it? I was thinking of doing this to make sure I get it ALL off but unsure if it'll screw with the body.

BTW, i'm using parma paint if that makes a difference at all.
