Nue

Do you peoples think a 1521 1Y is a good motor on 6s in a truggy geared for forty mph. Also will it fit in a losi 1,0 frame.

stum 10.10.2009 11:28 AM

a 1515 is plenty for a truggy.. 1521 is more than overkill.

lincpimp 10.10.2009 11:55 AM

Yeah, a 1515 would be a better choice. For 6s and 40mph go with something around 1600kv. I use the 1521 1y in my muggy and lst2, both are heavier than a truggy, and run much heavier wheels/tires. I have seen lsts run the cc 2200 motor (a 1515) on 5-6s and it has plenty of power as well. So a 1515 should suit you fine, and not overpower your truggy.

suicideneil 10.10.2009 11:55 AM

Definately overkill- I would go for a 1515 in ~1700kv flavour for 6s & 40mph.

It's Neu. You transposed the last two letters.

MetalMan 10.10.2009 12:18 PM

I think a 1521 in a truggy would be undergeared at only 40mph, unless a lower kv like 1200 were chosen. Otherwise, the other suggestions would do just fine

nitrostarter 10.10.2009 01:32 PM

I would do it but thats just me. Maybe run 5s instead too. Everything should run ice cold!

Is anyone selling off their 1515/2050kv motor? I'm trying to get one for my nephew as a present for his 1st electric race.
