i have a 1515/2y/f if he can use it

adrictan 11.19.2009 01:10 AM

Sorry. He's only running 4s.

What about a Castle/Neu motor? The 2200kv one should work fine on 4s, has headroom for higher voltage later on if he decides to upgrade, and is quite a bit cheaper than a "real" Nue with not much less quality.

Any chance you can knock the font on your sig back down to 1 or 2? Kinda distracting. Thanks!

+1

Yea yea....knocked it down a bit. Happy? He'll stay prefer a true NEU. Thanks.

What's he running 4s in, what vehicle are you looking for a motor for? I have a Tekno Neu 1515 2.5D, it's a real Neu in a Teknow spec'd case (sealed ends and larger bearings) that I would sell if the price was right

BrianG 11.19.2009 11:40 PM

While a "true" Neu is maybe a bit better, the Castle Neus are built more for car use. They have sealed ends to keep the dirt out, and the wires are flexible noodle wires instead of coil wire extensions, which allow for more repeated/easier bending without breaking. The coil wires, being stiff, can be bent only so many times before they start to break, and when that happens, bye bye motor. In an offroad vehicle, the constant jumps and bumps can be hard on those wires. If he still wants a true Neu, that's fine (many people use them), but for the cost, the Castle Neus are VERY hard to beat.

It's a Caster F8T truggy tht he'll be running 4s on. PM me the price u're letting the Castle Neu go. Thanks.

BrianG 11.20.2009 10:59 AM

I'm not selling a Castle Neu, I'm just suggesting a lower-cost alternative to a real Neu.

I might be willing to sell my used real new 1515 1.5d I used in my high speed project. This thing has insane power on 6s. I almost want to say too much because I never got to use its full potential. I also have a used castle 2200 also. Pm me if your interested.
