Andersons Powerpoles...

Saw the other thread on deans vs 4mm bullets, and it got me thinking about something i heard a long while ago from 2 seperate ppl (forget who they were tho)...

I heard that powerpoles are capable of up to 200amps, as they were apparently quite common in Pylon racing planes?(sounds total BS to me)

Anyone have any info, or even ever heard of this? I've only ever used the 45amp poles...

They come in various sizes, and I believe there are 200amp versions- but they are huge and no good for R/C if memory serves..

Well their rating is "real rating", you can run 200A from 200A connector for long long time, try same with "rc" connector that is rated 200A and you end up with burned connector.
Just find powerpole connector that is 5-6mm diameter and you have connector that is enought for rc use.

Yeah, I know about the other rated ones, and yep, they are friggin massive! The case is thicker than my finger -lol-

these guys were talking the 45amp connectors tho, they said that they run em in pylon racers... I mean.. They must be under rated for sure tho... I've used em in all sorts of different and larger (not 5scale parge tho) applications and they have always been cool as... Maybe I'm not pulling that much continuously tho? I have no logger...

I'm actually kinda surprised there aren't more ppl that use em here... Saves you needing this extra wire harnesses to hook up ur packs in series/parallel...

Is anyone surprised that when a movie fails thats based off a medium that succeeds for having all the things that a movie does not?

Comic Book -> Movie

Is that spam or just a massive case of ADD?
