LVC Recommendation for new Hyperion battery

Hi Guys,

Got my Monster Max ESC, Default LVC shows as 3.0v per cell....would it be kinder to raise this a little for my new Hyperion 4S 6500mah battery?

I'd lose some runtime I guess, but might increase durability long term of the lipo pack? Or is this unneccesary especially as they are G3 build?

Thanks

3.2 volts would be better, 3.4v if you are the paranoid type :mdr:

Usually you will notice the power drop off before you hit lvc level anyway, so stop running the truck at that point regardless.

If your just bashing it then run 3.4v IMO. You are probably talking about less than a minute of runtime between that setting and the 3.0V setting.

Any damage that is done to a battery is usually done in the last 5% of the run time. I personally try to never run my packs down below 80%. It just makes them last so much longer, keeps them in balance better and is all around just so much easier on the batteries.

Is that extra minute of runtime gonna really make or break you? Its up to you, but with expensive batteries it seems to make sense to me to play it a little on the safe side.

Sound advice there guys and certainly I am investing a lot of money in this pack!!

I'll try 3.4v and go from there....

I run mine MMM's set at 3.3v/cell. Works great with the Hyperions. I still get plenty of runtime while bashing.
