hey guys just finished my revo tonight and when i went to run it the front wheels wanted to go backwards.any ideas on what's wrong?thanks

You need to flip over one of your diffs.

Take out a diff and rotate it 180 degrees (flip over) and reinstall

ok thanks maybe that'll fix my problem.

hey guys got the revo running after flipping differential over and now sounds like the gears in differential are dry or something like that but they're not.any suggestions? the differentials cases are new from integy and the outer cases are rdlogics.

Might need to give more info....what makes you think they sound dry? What kind of noise? When does it occur? Did you do any shimming when you rebuilt them? What weight of oil?

hey thanks for your reply.they sound like they are cogging up.they almost sound like they are stripping.i used white lithium grease when i rebuilt them and i put them back together just like they were when i took them apart.i don't know how they sounded before as this was a project truck that i bought from ebay as a roller and now it's brushless.they did turn freely before.

I think your problem is they need some very careful shimming to remove the play that is allowing the ring gear to ride past the pinion, which is creating the stripping noise- the ring gear may not be seated properly either.

If you are going BL with this, you might as well ditch them completely and get a set of the hybrid revo diffs in the rc-monster store- they will last forever pretty much with no strippage or alignment issues (if they worked fine before, then chances are your servicing efforts have left them a bit ski-wiff as we Brits like to say :wink: )...

hey suicidenel,thanks for the info.what do i need for the shimming?i took these apart from thr original cups and case and then put everything in exactly as it came out.i will take them back apart and see if i see any problems.

I think 5x8x0.2mm shims would be the correct size, but if the issue only happened after servicing the diffs, I would wager something isnt seated correctly- should be simple enough to eyeball the issue, or feel for it if you remove the diff and rotate each shaft seperately/ together- if its 'popping' in a certain place, then the ring gear is my guess at the problem, but id its doing it consistantly as you rotate the input gear shaft and hold the outputs still, then some shimming is needed probably.

Kinda hard to talk you through it though, its one of those things one would fix by sitting and playing with it for a while and trying a few things until it works correctly again*

i belive the term is skew wiff.....:lol:
we learned this year in maths that if something is skewed it means it is off center/alignment.
and anyway, we aussies say skew wiff so there must be a translation error somewhere, either you or us are wrong :rofl::lol:
now back on topic...

i'd say to ditch the in-terd-y bits.
get yourself either a nice set of LST diffs to mod, the RCM hybrid diff or a new set of stock E-revo diffs (or E-maxx)

Why, There are complete jumk compared to the newer TRX diffs ?

LST diffs is the cheapest easiest way to semi bullet proof your diff situation.
