Wheelie Bars
Just thought everyone would like to know this info. I have read alot of people asking about what is a good wheelie bar to get. Here is the place that I got mine from: http://s91887143.onlinehome.us/wheelie_bar/ It works great until you get to the power level my truck has and then you just flip over the wheelie bar anyway! I sent an email to the guy asking if he could make a wheelie bar that is 1 1/2" longer which should prevent even my truck from flipping. I will let everyone know what he says and the price.

Oh yeah a wheelie bar. I need a pro drag length my self. Then I can lauch hard and fast. :D
|
CHC- I agree on that on. I've been thinking of making one up. I have Dace wing mount shock towers so I was thinking of utilizing those 4 hole for the wing mount to bolt on to for support

What about the adjustable wheelie bar that comes on the new 3.3 Tmaxx? The traxxas part number is 4975
|
Thats for nitro, BL can break that wheelie bar in no time:)
|
It is kind of short. I don't think it would do much on a strong brushless. Mine leaves the ground some times. Looks like you pick up and throw it across the yard or something.

I want to make one like a drag race bar, that i can put on fairly quick

Here is a pic of one that I made. Mainly for driving in the street though.http://www.rcpics.net/img/67699
Here is another. http://www.rcpics.net/img/67642 It works really well and havn't been able to flip the truck yet. |
Looks good JOHNNY. I've making a wheelie bar like that, but I couldn't really be bothered :)

Anyone wanna get into drag wheelie bar manufacturing? I guess it wouldnt be a wheelie bar since it would be made to keep the car from doing wheelies at takeoff...the anti wheelie bar |
I would buy one.

Anyone tried this one? I have the revo version on my e-revo and it is pretty decent. I can almost just punch it and go when I have it adjusted down low. Its pretty long on the revo and the height ajustments are pretty versitle. I can amlost get it low enough that when the rear end squats under power the wheelie bar is alomost touching the ground and I can get almost full launch power. On the revo it mounts just to the bumper mount and it leaves it pretty flexible, which is nice for having a little give in it when you stand up. It almost kind of catches it rather than just hitting a rigid bar that it might flip past. Anyway. I think its pretty decent. Better than most. |

LIKE THIS but on an rc car |
Great for fast take offs... But it would suck for jumping. You would wind up bending it it in no time.
