Learning to drive the DX450 is fast and easy, even if you've never driven an R/C cycle before. Here's why: When the rear wheel begins to turn, weights inside rotate around the rear axle, creating a gyroscope effect which balances and stabilizes the motorcycle. It's what “rights” the DX450 after leaning into a turn and what keeps it upright even at low speeds. That way, you can start slow and work up to full-throttle fun as your confidence increases. It's unique, simple, effective and fun

I LIKE!

n-road ready – off-road tough.

Sure…you can take the DX450 street racing if you want. But just look at those knobby tires. The made-for-motocross frame and suspension. The DX450 blends them with brushless power and 2.4GHz control to bring you the most versatile, durable R/C bike available. With the DX450, you can ride hard and fast wherever you feel like it. Up hills and flying over jumps or traveling on gravel and grass, dirt or pavement. You can scream down straightaways and corner with confidence, even if you've never driven a cycle before. A simple but effective gyroscope keeps the DX450 stable and rock-steady no matter who's behind the handlebars. And since it comes with a Tactic 2.4GHz radio system, you can choose to go off-road riding on your own – or go for in-your face motocross racing against a pack of competitors! It's all possible—and the DX450 is ready to deliver it all the minute you open the box!
Fully assembled and generously equipped. All you need are a battery and charger!

Comes with a 3800kV brushless motor, 75A brushless ESC and a Tactic™ 2.4GHz radio system.

No previous experience? No problem – it's great for new drivers and confirmed bikers alike!

I've been wanting to get some kind of cycle for some time now, so this is interesting. Trucks/cars are fun and all, but I want something different. Either this, or maybe build some kind of snowmobile. Decisions, decisions!

Hmm. Believe it or not I've never had much of an interest in RC bikes, that may have changed... onboard bike video anyone?

Looks like it takes a 2S?

Construction looks good on it, why is my wallet feeling lighter already?

Have a look, some on-board video in here:

Too cool. Even got a backflip out of it!

Looks like a blast, it'll be on my springtime shopping list I think...

It's nice to see Duratrax trying something new, especially when there is a flood of "recycled-chassis" vehicles on the market.

Does anyone know more about the ESC? Is it in any of Duratraxs' other vehicles?

Good idea to keep the battery box low for LCG, but hopefully that box can handle some abuse, especially because I know one of you guys is going to send one of these into a curb at 60 mph!!!

By the looks of that CAD drawing the wheel weights can be added or removed.

That looks great!

A few of them racing together would be a blast :intello:

From the manual:
The weight can be adjusted by adding or removing weights from the flywheel
-More weight gives more stability
-Less weight gives more response and power

Hmm imagine a Neu 14 series in one of these!

standing backflips on a bike!!:intello:

It kinda sucks. I saw it today at the iHobby and either their drivers cant drive what they produce or its that bad. Parts were falling off everywhere. Rear fender nearly broke off, turning hoops broke off. It was a mess.
