stock radio in the flux ?
Is it possible to run the flux with the stock tx and rx or are the hpi gear crap like traxxas ?
|
If it has the correct number of channels and you program esc to controller.
You should be good to go. :) |
but what about radio glitches ?none of my traxxas 27mhz radios works properly with bl-setups Grr!
|
If it's an AM radio, then you may have problems. BL is "noisy" which can cause the AM signal to be garbled. It helps to mount the antenna as far away from the motor and power wires as possible, but sometimes does not help much, and/or range can be reduced.
FM is inherently better. And 2.4GHz is best. If you want a cheap 2.4GHz controller, consider picking up the Traxxas 2.4 radio on ebay or something. |
i already have an spectrum dx3r pro and dx3-s tx :O) i just whaned to know if this truck was driviable with the stock 27mhz radio

Thanks Mr.G!
I had forgot about he am fm stuff. I ran fm so much I forgot the am. I run spectrum for all mine now. Just buy a receiver and make another program number. :) |

believe it or not, the stock hpi am radio isn't half bad. i've been running my BL matrix with it for a week now. the range isn't incredible, but other then that, all is well. i have seen plenty of people run the stock radio on the flux with no issues.

Mine didn't work worth a hoot....but....first run I slid it on its lid for about 100 feet, and some of the ensuing damage was to the antenna. But like you, I had a DX3, and that was my first mod to it!
|
Mine worked, but not very well, it glitched all the time, especially during heavy throttle runs and my Flux would "hiccup" randomly. Running a DX2.0 now and no more issues.
