Suggest some good Bulkheads

I have UE 6 diffs they don't seem to fit the best in the stock Bulkheads and i also have UE EXT suspension. I want them to match :)

Don't think i can afford UE bulkheads.

btw when you buy bulkheads you have to buy 2 sets right?

squeeforever 02.27.2006 12:46 AM

i would go for the flm hybrid bulkheads. your 6 spyder diffs will fit right in the bulkless system.

Don't forget some titanium skid's while your at it. Like GA 2 mm.

The flm hybirds are very tough. But if you going for a ue truck may want to look at the vbs. IT does cost more though.

FLM i don't care much for there stuff i had to modify there half case for it to work with the screws it came with!

UE bulkheads would be great but they want over $500 for it i think and the FLM are $37.50 i have to buy two sets though right? What about the braces? I just noticed that the FLM say rear bulkheads the front and rear are the same right?

squeeforever 02.27.2006 11:50 AM

front and rear the different (at least stock is) but i was refering to the hybrid bulkless system which is similar to the ue vbs. its only 150 for the front and rear.

Got a link? What's the differance in hybird and a reguler bulkhead?

squeeforever 02.27.2006 11:55 AM

sure do. here ya go. only thing is you wont use the diff cases you already have. just the gears.
combo bulkless-incorperates the gear cases into the bulkheads for added strength and to save weight (uses stock gears) $120
hybrid bulkless-same as bulkless system but made to accept 8th scale gears for added durability $150

RC Fan 4 Life 02.27.2006 12:00 PM

Ok so the hybirds have there on diff cases that i just install the UE 6 gears into? Are all hybirds bulkheads that way?

squeeforever 02.27.2006 12:01 PM

yes. actually the only hybrid bulkless systems there are is the flm and the vbs.

pcnutz 03.02.2006 08:38 PM

if you have the cases for your UE diffs the GA 7075 bulks are the ticket
I have a set for sale. PM me for price and details.

but if all you have is the diffs. FLM is the cheapest hybbrid bulks for 150$. I just intalled a set, I did not like the fact I had to dremel on my UE shock towers to fit

squeeforever 03.02.2006 10:55 PM

the ga's are the heaviest on the market although strong, the bulkess is stronger.

I sold my GA's and got a set of the FLM bulheads, the FLM bulkless needs some tweaking too.... (doable, but don't get frustrated when you need to work on them, though i heard they did some finetuning to them)

the FLM's are about the lightest bulks available. (and they are an absolute 1 on 1 fit, no modifications required.)

Their braces are good looking too imo.

Sylvester 03.03.2006 08:01 AM

Yea, id go with the flm bulks, i had them in my old emaxx and they never gave me a single problem, and they werent heavy either!

coolhandcountry 03.03.2006 09:04 AM

I have the hybird flm. I like them better than the seperate bulks and diff case. The flm shock towers don't require the modding to work. It is not hard to mod them if yours don't fit.
