MX-3S vs Xs3
Which is a better choice in radios? I am looking for something more than stock. I just have one emaxx for now. I need adjustable steering endpoints mainly. I don't have to have synthesized but would be nice. What do you guys run?
Thanks for the input! |
It is really I think comes down to what you like. Most of the higher end radios are nice. It is whether you like the features of it. If the thrid channel switch and stuff is in the right spot and stuff. I havea hitec and a futuba. I like both of them. I put the spektrum in the hitec so it is not worry about frequency. I used a airtronics with the synthized and like it but the thrid channel. If you go with one the syntheized may save you a couple bucks for frequencies later.

Spymaxx,
Feature for feature, it's too tough to pick one over the other. Your best bet is to find a shop that will let you hold both or find a couple people who have them so you can get a feel for them. Find the one that feels the best in your hands and has the easier menu for you to navigate. Whichever you choose will definitely be a welcome upgrade to standard RTR radios. |
i got the xs3 pro(different color and more model memories than the xs3) and it works great for me it is nice and light and havent expierienced a single glitch while using it. The synthesized feature is also really nice. It is nice and comfortable to. I love it.

I have the MX-3s. Great radio, the best you can get for the money.

Thanks for the input! I guess before I buy, I will make a trip to the LHS and feel several of these. I'll try not to drool on the radios...

the m8 is also a VERY nice radio with just about any and every function there is. a used one on ebay goes for about 100 to 150. i got one for 85 shipped.

Squee, you got lucky. I see there are 2 on there now but don't have antenna, or tx module. Anybody using skeptrum stuff? |
I have the hitec agressor with a spektrum module. It is sweet. I need to get a couple more receivers and change everything over to spektrum.
|
you could also get the spectrum DX3 which from what i have heard is a great radio. I think that sylvester has one.

I use a XS3, had it for over three years and no problems, never glitched

the jr radios are great radios and they seem to last forever. one of the guys at they my local track still uses the old R56 and it works great. also jr repairs radios there radios if there is a problem. they take great pride in their work and back it up.

I love my MX-3 radio, it feels so nice and natural to use, all the switches are in good positions as well. I got mine "as new" with reciever etc for $45, which I reckon is an outstanding price for such a good radio. I've used mine for a few months now, and can't really think of anything bad to say about it..
