Vid of MMPRO creeping with 21.5 LRP

Here's a vid of the MMpro creeping in my FLM Rustler with a 21.5 LRP stock motor w/14mm sintered rotor upgrade. Batteries were 6s1p A123.

It seems very smooth I've been looking forward to getting one!

Check out this snipped of the datalog on the setup. A whopping 6.23Amps @ 19.78V average. I'll gear up some more and datalog it again.

looks nice and smooth...how did it "feel"

snellemin 11.19.2009 10:53 AM

Man the Rustler is so "slow" and I need to gear it up some. The feel of the ESC with the sensor used is very smooth. I take a vid of it in action. Heck as it's setup up now, I can use laptop batteries and still be good with the power output.

Here's the actual creeping outside my house. I changed the gearing to 58/15

Was there anything special you had to do during setup?

I'm trying to setup a Novak HV motor with my MM Pro, and it's acting strange.

It will only spin the motor in one direction, and if I pick two wires and swap them, it won't run in either direction.

When running in the one direction, it is very smooth. I don't think the sensors in the motor are bad or anything, but I'm not sure what I need to do.

With sensored it's vital you have the main power wires oriented with A B C matching between motor and ESC, because of the sensor orientation. If you need to reverse the motor rotation you should be able to do it from Castle Link.

I didn't do anything special. I only disabled the voltage cutoff and have my timing on 10 degrees. Are you using the sensored mode only?

sikeston34m 11.19.2009 10:36 PM

I have tried both smart sensored and sensored only mode.

I'm working with it now. I'll check the A,B,C Orientation.

snellemin 11.19.2009 10:40 PM

Yea I forgot about the ABC's.

sikeston34m 11.19.2009 10:47 PM

Got it! :yipi:

I completely forgot about the ABC thing. Running sensorless stuff will spoil ya! LOL

This thing is amazing though. Low speed is very precise! But it will blast off like a rocket when you stab it.

Cool! Very Cool.

Thanks alot guys! :yipi:

Which sensored mode is best? Anyone try cheat mode yet?

snellemin 11.19.2009 10:50 PM

I tried cheat mode a few times in a straight line. Worked good. But the onroad guys will have more use out of it.
