My new 1/16 e-revo body!
I bought a pro-line slipstream body and painted it. this was my first multi-colored pain job and only my second self-painted body! I think it turned out good except for the fact the some paint seeped under the masking tape

I suck at painting....hence I have others due my bodies. Yours came out pretty damm good!
haha thanks! i thought it was good! just next time i need to make sure all the masking tape is down well so paint wont get under it lol
Looks PDG to me:yes:
haha thanks
One trick to stop the paint from seeping under the tape is to apply an extremely light coat of paint first and let it dry thoroughly. That will seal up he edges of the tape
humm....good idea, i didn't think of that. thanks!
Nice, are you running anything out of the ordinary on the truck."motor,esc,wheel-tires"
its a good first try, i rember my first body it was on an eletric traxxas 4tec back in 1997 or 98, i painted the out side with standard spray paint in one color even over the windows lol
Right before painting a tape job, I use a credit card to run over the edges and make sure they're as stuck down as they can get. Also don't use plain making tape and keep the tape in a sealed baggy so it doesn't pick up fuzz, dirt or lint that'll cause paint to seep under the edge of the tape.
Nice job btw! |
thanks guys!
