Help me decide on which new castle motor....1518 or 1520

I can't decide which one to get for my truggy...1518 1800kv or 1520 1600kv. I will be running on a 5s set up w/a mmm esc. I do not race.

Just curious as to which one you would choose and why.

I run a Neu 1521/1Y with 5S and it's a blast. It stays cool through out the run. Has plenty of torque to impress with either wheelies or speed if I go up on the pinion. Go with the 1520 as it's closer to a 1521/1Y.

The 1520 will mostly run most efficient in your application as well as run cool. Like Luciano said, you have the torque for playing around or gear up for speed running.

How do the rotors compare?

Does anyone have the sizes on these?

I am leaning towards the 1520 for the flexibility it will give me....still undecided though

Hey, what do think about that motor? I need to replacement for my hacker... the 1518 was recommended, but I think a little more torque will be needed.

Thanks...

Oop!!... ok... sorry about that.

But - I can honestly say that your maxx will be more than fast enough even on a 1515 1Y or a 2.5D.

For 5s I would go 1518. Of course a 1515 is plenty for a truggy.
