They said it couldnt be done...
Transponders are no match for me!
Went at this house transponder to see if I could replace the cell in it, and save a crapload of money for the track.. The operation was a success! You now have a fully working house transponder! only 7 or 8 more to go ;) <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bVK4LkWh9hE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bVK4LkWh9hE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Old cell being removed http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...8091626_02.jpg New Cell installed awaiting solder. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...8091646_01.jpg |

I had a whole group of racers against me, after seeing a mmm go up in flames.. That is until the day where the track owners Personal transponder failed and he had to use a house unit... the original batteries did not hold any charge... later that day he nonchalantly slipped me a house transponder and said "see what you can do"
 |
cool............did you chew it open?

I think my method of charging it was better.. Read through the amb manual and found out that the charging rack outputs 3v dc current.. so i found the only thing i had with 3v (2 alkaline cells, my handy-dandy game boy!) hooked some aligator clips to the battery terminals and onto the posts of the transponder.. its charging as we speak...:intello: |
