32 pitch mod.8?

simple dumb question. is 32 pitch mod.8? or is it a little off? I've got 32p 5mm bore pinions that i would like to use with a revo spur in my rusty.

they are slightly different but they are soo close that they are interchangeable, your pinions and spurs will work

Yup, Mod 0.8 is actually 31.75p. And 32p is Mod 0.7938. I've used mixed 32p/mod 0.8 with no issues.

They work fine on a Rusty. I run 48p, mod.8, and mod 1.0 on my Rusty depending on what motor I am using.

if you examine the gears closely, you will see that the mod 0.8 gear will "crash" into the next tooth on the other gear prematurely, hence causing excess ware and will eventually destroy the weakest gear.

I can testify to the fact that you will not wear out the gears quickly. I ran RCM 32p pinion against .8Mod plastic spur for over a year at least 20+ hours and never had a problem. If you do have a problem it would be the plastic spur gears that cost ~$3.50, but like I said I had many hours of use without a problem
