center diff mount

anybody know if there is a center diff mount availables for the Revo 3.3 that would eliminate the need of the transmission?

I think the only option is to fabricate something yourself or modify something already available for other vehicals. I found this thread, this guy did a very good job.

Thanks MC. Yea because the center I think is just too top-heavy, and my Revo sure likes to flip over when turning hi-speed on the street. :whip: I think by somehow eliminating the center transmission and just only having a center diff would lower the truck's cog and improve performance a lot!

Search through the thread I posted, there is a clear picture of the mount he made to hold the motor and center diff. It is very simple and relatively easy to make with simple tools.

If I had a milling machine I'd try to make one! That one piece that spans the underside looks pretty hard to make.

Milling machine? All you need is a hacksaw, files, drill and tap. It's just 4 pieces of flat stock shaped, drilled and taped just right. The motor/rear of CD mount is three pieces and the mount for the front of the CD is just one piece. Easy to make. It just takes a bit of patience and dedication. The black bottom part is just the bottom part of the stock nitro Revo middle skid plate that he screwed to the mounts he made.

oh I see now. The other photos had me thinking that it looked like one solid piece and not 3 seperate pieces screwed together. thanks mc!

ditto im in on this

The transmission is the only think keeping me in the MT class and out of the jaws of the truggies, I'll stick with my trans! GL with the project.

Didn't Mike just release a universal center diff motor mount that can be fitted to a wide variety of different vehicles?

EDIT: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=rcmcdmm Out of stock already though

Urgeoner 02.19.2010 02:21 AM

Yea and the likelihood Mike will make them again?
BTW the aluminum came to be 3/8" not 5/16 like I ordered...Oh well gotta make due with it I suppose. I'll be using a hacksaw and files mostly, and drill.
