single servo setup..........but on a budget.
well just like the title says im looking for a single servo setup to replace my stock setup.... i think these are finally losing a little power and seem to have trouble self centering...
what are some affordable servos out there? i just cant convince my self to buy 100$ servo. |
Hitec 5645 is a decent servo for around 50.00

What car. If there is room for a 1/4 scale servo go that route. If not check out hobby city's servos- very economical
http://hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store.../_.17sec_/_49g equates to 180oz/in of tq. plenty for your truck |
Hobbycity servos are awesome. You could afford a dual servo setup if you wanted. Check out the hxt 12kg servo while you're there. I've owned a bunch and they never have failed besides the mounts... use washers for sure. They are a litle noisy and power hogging, but they are strong and the metal gears won't strip. They cost under $8.
If you want to compete with hitecs and stuff get something like what BLBoy suggested. Those look really nice. |
You could always do what I did...bought a new $110- servo on RCTech for $70- shipped.
You can get great lightly used ones for $30-40 as well |
Something like this? http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...cs-servos.html

I used a hitec 645mg on my 3.3 and it worked pretty well

I like ACE servos personally. High torque/speed at not so high a price. Pretty beefy built too.

 i was looking at the analog ones..... 90$ for a servo is hard to justify... but then again so is a 1000$ rc car.. i think im ganna give one of those hobbyking servos a shot and if not save up for the ace one...
are the splines the same as the one on the revo? |
Traxxas have a 25t spline count, identical to Futaba. most of the HK servos have a futaba outputs so I would beleive they are drop in

Let us know how those HK servos work, I'm curious. |
