Addicted to race! Need to keep important spares

I am addicted to my local club race once a month. I do not want to go home becoz of failed electronics.

I am running 2 class 1/8 ep truggy n ep buggy. I hv limited $ to keep all spares so I am thinking what's the top list.

1. Esc
2. Tx
3. Rx
4. Motor

spares of car, batt I have already.

Run the same ESC for both vehicles if you can, like dual MMM or RX8 setups. Then you don't need a spare since if one blows you can swap the other out between heats.

Get one extra receiver, you shouldn't need an extra transmitter. I always have a cheap stock Tx and Rx just in case, you never know.

Get extra motors if you can, but these don't blow all the time unless they're having problems. I don't think your Neu motors will be a problem with endbell covers.

Keep extra batts handy.

Also, if you keep a spare esc on hand don't forget to mirror the settings on the spare to the one in the truck/buggy. An easy oversight and the consequences could be the loss of the race or worse.

If you want one spare motor that can work in both cars a 1515 2.5d (1650kv) or something similar to that, isn't too bad (I'm assuming you use 4s in the buggy). I raced mine in my truggy on 5s for a long time and did a lot bashing and some practice on the track with 6s. It is fairly powerful on 6s, but if your gentle with the throttle it works ok on the track, maybe gear down a little.
When we got limited to 4s at racing I put a 1515 1y in the truggy, and once I got a buggy I put the 1650kv in it to try on 4s, and I like it enough to keep it in the buggy, just needs gearing up a bit.

I hv a 1550kv tekin but it won't be fast in the buggy. My buggy is running 2050 with 17pinion on 4s still not fast enough.

If I use 1550kv I think I need 20pinion

if ya ran the 2200 on 6s i would just turn the epa to around 55-60% or so, i ran my 1y on 5s with the epa around 85% in my crt and it was sweet
