These godforsaken fans!!!!!

Just got myself a MMP and like it's monster brethren, the fan has just died in the poop hole.
I appreciate that we put these ESCs through hell and back and accept that the fans on these escs were made to live on computer parts and not in off road buggies that can sometimes go from 40mph to 0mph in 0.1s.
But it would be really really really nice if there was an easy way to replace them.
If anyone from CC is reading this thread, could you please rethink the way these fans are mounted/attached? It is a real PITA to replace fans on CC ESCs as you have to pull at least some of the case apart.
If you have a look at the way LRP have their fans mounted with the SPX8 of SXX TC, this is very simple and easy to access. Basically a couple of screws into the heatsink and viola!

rant over!

The fan on the MMP is really easy to replace -- just cut off the mounting tabs, squeeze the fan assembly, and pull it off. Then just attach a new fan assembly.

thanks for the reply Patrick..
Yes this is what I did, but because I've shoehorned her into a Durango DEX410, it meant that I have to pull all my electronics out just to get these tabs and the power plug for the fan.
I've been looking around for a better way to mount the fans and lots of mfgs seem to have heatsink that you can just screw into. I would have thought that this would be easier and cheaper for all..

Also, are you still thinking of making a smaller MMP? I'd like one of those pls.

cheers,
John

A durango is one nice 4wd buggy. Even less room to mount electronics then most buggies though.

my fan mount is all cracked, basically held together by CA glue now. My fault though cause i bash the crap outta my slash. Does CC offer the fan mount seperate as a replacement part?
