motor & battery ?????

ive got a hyper st pro w/ a neu 1515 2.5d on 5s5ooo . i want to go down on battery size to a 4s5500 , what motor would i need to change to and still have my truggy be fast?

go for something in the 2000 to 2200 kv range. Either the Tekin or Castle motors should be great for your application and allot cheaper than the Neu you currently have.

I used the 1515 2.5d on 5s 4900's, then went to 4s 4900's with a 1515 1y (2200kv), kept the same gearing and could hardly notice any difference on the track. Didn't even need time to get used to it or change driving style. I haven't used the castle 2200, but I guess it would be almost the same.

The castle 2200 would be the best bet, with your current battery and lower gearing!

Going down in voltage is never a good idea, unless you are incapable of stopping yourself from licking the terminals! Less volts means more amps, and more heat. I like the cc 2200 on 5s. Made a lst dance like a drunk high school cheerleader at a college bar on ladies night. Get it!!! Get it!!!
