Putting batteries together

Here is a new guy question. I am about to invest in some IB batteries and have never put a pack together. I have the deans connectors, wire, connectors and a soldering iron. WHat is the best way to put together a 6 cell pack for a E-Maxx with plans to upgrade to 7. Do the wires have to be the same length? Anyone with pictures? Thanks for all of your help.

Side by side is best. You run the wires that suits you best. They don't have to be the same length. I good soldering iron helps out alot. I like to use a 100 watter myself.

Go to www.balakracing.com and check out the best way to build up a battery pack.

You're welcome, Damon. I learned how to build my batteries from this site and few other things. Bryan Balak is quite a guy.

Captian Harlock, I have spent some time on Bryan Balak's site, it is really awesome! Between this website and that, I am pretty confident in putting together a decent car. Thanks again!
