I love Nuggent's views on gun control. I always knew he was a huge fan of guns but this really puts things into perspective. :intello:

Very good indeed, I think I have it saved on my other computer somewhere...

Old Ted makes some very valid points... But the socialists (I cannot call them liberals any more, just does not fit) want to make sure that their big gov't has the upper hand over the citizens. That way we are under their thumb, and basically incapable of doing anything about it. They will never take our guns away, but they will eat at our freedoms, limit our actions, and best of all, tax the living crap out of us to pay for it all.

I resent the slaver driver & religious oppression part at the beginning ( europe wasnt that bad in ye olden days was it? ), but everything else I agree 100% on. Criminals will be criminals no matter what, law abiding citizens should have the right to defend themselves, with lethal force if needs be.

Case in point:

A female celeb saw 2 guys trying to rob her garden shed the other day, so she waved a kitchen knife at them from her upstairs window to scare them off, then called the police. Police turned up and advised her that it was illiegal to use such potential force against intruders, would-be thieves escaped scottfree.

The point being that courts these days care more about protecting the rights of the criminal to ensure they dont become victims, and dont give a sh*t about the real victims since the law states you can only use 'reasonable force', might as well bend over and let them screw you over that way too.

Very good points indeed. I would be more comfortable with 1000 normal citizens walking around with concealed weapons than one criminal. People don't understand that people do not walk around expecting to ever use there concealed weapon, it is just in rare cases. Some people act like I am just going to walk around and shoot crap up with a gun. In real life NO normal/heathy person would ever use a gun unless of emergency....

Problem is that normal is a subjective term. Most people would probably have a higher chance to be shot by a "normal" person in situations such as road rage than an encounter with a criminal. I believe in the right to own guns but there has be some restrictions.

As I've gone down the road of life, the longer I go the more I realize that there are more "normal" law abiding citizens that are actually complete idiots, and I for one would be forced to be come a criminal by shooting them first.:intello:
