Sidewinder Problem Question
I have an old sidewinder laying around that i want to put in a scale crawler soon. I regrettedly let my mate borrow it cause he was having problems with his esc, & somehow he's manage to stuff it. Im getting all three LEDs flashing upon battery insertion (i dont use the on/off switch). Im certain the problem is internal cause i triple checked the rx was plugged in right, checked the board for any defects & also went over the wires. Im thinking of getting a CCBEC for it later, could this problem be due to an internal BEC issue?
Id like to try & fix it myself, I live in australia so i gotta send it away to get repaired & itd take a while... |
The sticky says its most likely a problem with the radio signal, though some form of internal issue is possible too. Assuming you've been over your radio and checked things like throttle trim etc, then I see other option but to send it in- no way you can repair it at home given the billion little components, any of which might need replacing. I know sending it in sucks, and will take a while, but feel free to make your friend pay for shipping- and check over his truck at the same time to see why he borked up his own esc..

yes, it fazes me still why he went through 3 escs. 2 novaks & my SW, When i had it fitted to his truck, i checked every single moving part, to make sure nothing was binding, etc. Right now he's running an LRP esc & motor from the owner of our LHS, The owner installed it & its running fine, But my mate also went from the TQ2 radio, to a 2.4ghz.
Thats what i thought about having it hooked up wrong on the rx, so i went over that numerous times to double check it was in correctly. I havent tried the SW in my setup yet, though i have a funny feeling itll probably do the same but there is no harm in trying anyway... |
