Anodizing the xl conversion?

I ordered the flm xl conversion for the flux, but since they are natural i`d like to anodize them in black. Is that possible or does it change the stability of the 6061 Aluminium?

Greetings from Germany

Nope - anodize away..you could also get them powder coated - just be sure to mask the areas where other parts fit and the screw holes.

Thanks, that reassures me:)

Yep, I also was thinking about powder coating it but as you mentioned it would be necessary to mask the screw holes. Anodizing is also a little more scratch proof and I don't loose that "metallic" shine i would otherwise:)

Just out of curiosity, where are you going to anodize it? I'm from NL and I have a feeling that it's going to cost me a rib (and a lung).

There's a company 20km away from Stuttgart and they normally anodize industrial parts and well I asked them (like 50 similar companies before :eyes: ) and well the guy told me he has a savage too and loves the idea --> It will cost me a sixpack beer (some 6 or 7€) to anodize them black :yipi:

But first i need them... I ordered them more than 4weeks ago now... grr

Ahh that's about 450KM away from me, a tad to much to just drop by.

But nice deal for you :o !!
