Brushless conversion from 23cc gas engine.
Hey guy's, long time no see, huh?
Anyway, I'm trying to piece together some details on my conversion. I want to power a Navicraft Outrage offshore hull with a brushless motor on 10-12s. http://www.navicraftboats.com/html/N...t_outrage.html The boat currently houses a 23-26cc gas engine & I want something that will put out more power that this on twin 5-6s packs in series. I would like to have at least 15,000-20,000rpm from the motor. Any ideas on what to get & where from? Cheers Moz. |
You need a big motor, like the 2230 neu. And a big esc that can handle 10-12s lipo, like the castle hv boat esc. And some really big batteries, I would go with the zippy 40c 5000mah 6s packs, get 4 of them, so you can run a 12s2p setup. That way you can run 2 sets of 2 packs in series, and parallel them for a full 10000mah 12s lipo. Boats can draw some juice, so you need alot of battery! So there is 1500bucks worth of stuff to buy!

Cool, thanks.
Good starting point. Decided that this is more like the hull I want. http://www.fastelectrics.com/hulls/masocat1-6.jpg Powered by a Neu 2230/1.5Y 485kv with a Hydra 240HV running on 12s2p. Should tip the scales a scrape under 7kgs. Any input or other ideas?? |
