Controlle with built in Low Voltage Cutoff?

Are there any good ones? If not then can someone point me to a good LVC that I can buy online.

I need something that I can use on my brushless rustler. I already have a 3 sell lipo and a BK 10s brushless motor. All I need to be up and running is a controller and LVC.

the mgm controllers have a lvc i think :032: and the mtroniks line of bl controllers have a lvc to

The mgm 8012 has it lvc for a 4s lipo. The 12012 4s 16016 is 5s 24160 is 8s lipo all have lvc.

I'd recommend the Mtroniks Pro controller for you. I believe it has a 6V, 9V, and 12V LVC.

Where do you buy Mtroniks controllers? I do not see them in the RC-Monster store.

coolhand are you sure the 8012 and 12012 have LVC? Only the 16012 and 24160 say they have LVC.

well I have insturctions for th 12012 tells me how to program it for the lvc.

hyperasus 03.14.2006 06:28 PM

Great. I think I will try a 12012. Hopefully it does everything I need it too.

Coolhand, can the 12012 be programed with a computer threw usb? Is there an optional cord somewhere I can buy to have this capability?

coolhandcountry 03.14.2006 06:46 PM

I had heard about a computer progammible one but don't think they are out yet. I may be wrong.

The MGMs are currently not computer-capable, but they have the hardware for it (little ports on one side).

All of the MGM controllers feature a built-in LVC, and it can be set for hard cutoff (motor stops), soft cutoff (motor RPM decreases), or no cutoff. For Lipos, the cutoff is 3.1v/cell, but I am not sure what it is for NiMh cells (I would guess 0.9v/cell, I might be able to confirm this later).

EDIT:
Last night I was able to confirm that the MGM controllers do have a 0.9v/cell cutoff for NiMh. I tested this using my Duratrax ICE with the "motor break-in" feature, but it was acting as a variable voltage power supply.

Ok I ordered the 12012. I hope it doesn't fall short of my BK 9920.

Quick update: MGM controllers own. I like how customizable they are and the LVC works great. Now I want to sell both of my 9920's and replace them with MGM's. Thanks for the help everyone.
