How to get pressed cans apart ?
 

Have a buddys Turnigy(Fiaego type) motor here, the rotor has come apart I guess. The shaft spins but no forward movement, Still spins nicely and has not over heated, just stopped.

This is a pressed can, What the best way to get it apart to see if I can repair it ????

seriously though, hold it firmly and slam it down shaft first on a firm surface, the opposite end bell should pop right off.

LOL, I know. Tried that befor I posted, it shot out the back !
The shaft just slips from one end to the other of the can.

I wound up using a hammer and small screw driver to peel up the can in a small spot and weaseled and flat tip and pried the end bell off. It's butch but had no other avenue or idea ?:neutral:

Anyway, sure as shit the glue came undone that holds the magnet to the shaft. Cleaned it all up and applied some JB Quick and she's good as new, except the can. Looks hack but hey, I saved him some money and she works Good as new.:party:
