4s charger from Hobbycity
I recently revived a email from hobbyking saying:
4 Battery Charger A new 4 battery charger (4 x 8S) will soon be arriving in stock! This charger can charge and balance up to 4 8S packs at once This would be really good for the track and would replace my cellpro 10s. I was wondering if charging 4 packs would be worth the 300-350$ price tag? Is there even a 4 battery charger on the market right now? I'm in the market for a new charger so could you post a link? |
hobbyking already has a 4x6s charger but it isn't capable of much. 100 watts or so I believe, I doubt this new charger will be very powerful.
The hyperion duo is a 2 battery charger and is pretty much the best out there http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...S615DV3&cat=19 |
I have the Hyperion Duo and its one sweet charger, well worth the money!

Even with my hyperion 0610i which only charges one battery at a time, i can very easily maintain batteries for 3 racing classes since i can charge faster than i run them down.

there is a 4 port charger currently called quattro available via HK and several others (Imax, Dymond), it is 50W per channel.
The next 4 port one, branded as a turnigy (HK's instore brand) is supposed to come out in a week or two, w/ 100W per channel. They claim $80 for the charger, my guess is it will end up being closer to $100, plus $20-$30 for shipping to the US. Still cheap, but you would be buying a newly designed, unproved charger, w/ very expensive return shipping if defective. Also, the alcready said the outside case will be plastic, how many internal corners will they cut to save cost? The hyperions are great, but costly, I just don't see how with technology improving daily charger prices stay static (or increase). Just my opinion. Just reread and saw your were asking for links.... here is the HK quattro.... http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10327 only comes with plugs for 2 channels, you need to purchase the other two. |
the quattro is a HUGE charger, much bigger than if you were to get 4 smaller 50w chargers...

I have owned several hyperion chargers and my friend uses a Venom pro charger. The venom is ok but pretty pricey for it's capabilities. My hyperion eos 0606i ac/dc cost about $15 more than the venom and worth every penny. My duo is well worth the money I spent on it. I have never seen or heard of anyone having any issues with there lipos when using a hyperion. I value my life, my possesions, apt, and my batteries enough to spend a little more and get a charger I know is capable and safe.
