One battery cell
 

I have a2 promatch racing 7 cell 5000mah battery and one of them is weirding out on me. The last cell is getting more voltage than the others and then discharges below the rest when I run it. The cell doesn't have any corrosion on it and hasn't ever gotten wet or short circuted. The battery isn't over 2 months old either and hasn't been run over 13 times yet since christmas when I got them. I hope the cell isn't dead because then ill really be mad since I haven;t gotten to use them much and got them as a christmas present and they are way expensive...I equalize my cells every few runs with the tekin battery doctor like promatch recomends. Charge them at 5amps and never run them down too far. The other pack is perfect and no problems with it. Any one have an idea on what could be going on? Please. I wanna reverse this or get it fixed somehow or know if I can fix the issue myself. Ive discharged the other cells close to where the voltage of the other cell is and they haven't changed much but the charge time is quite short. They are about .3-.5v off at times. I guess the battery isn't taking it since I didn't charge them back up all the way yesterday when this started so need to discharge them again and charge back up, but. They ran great saturday night. Then the batts were funking out sunday when was making my snow video in my dewalt powered e-maxx. Any one have any idea on this? Sorry for the long post but details are always good when you need help.

Does your charger measure internal resistance of the pack? Judging by your description of the single cell being at a higher voltage and then discharging below the rest that would indicate that the internal resistance of that cell would be higher than the rest. Also another indication is that the charge time is short. If that is the case there is not really much you can do about it. If you can charge the cells individually and see what you get and report back.

you can remove the bad cell and make it a 6 cell pack. I know that sucks, but it will allow you to still use the rest of the battery.

And then, you can run your e-maxx on 13 cells!(yes, that is perfectly alright) You'll be the only one on your block running a 13 cell e-maxx!:yes:

I sent an e-mail to promatch and they say the cell probobly went bad...I'm so tired of bad things happening to me...They say if I send it back they will replace the cell. I hope shipping doesn't cost so much.
