Placement of electronics, does it matter?
 

Does the placement of electronics matter (in terms of glitching)? For instance placing a evx too close to the RX causes interference (i just made that up, so u know what i'm talking about). Thanks

generally you want to keep the reciever, motor, and esc as far away from eachother as possible

One example of bad glitching was the placement of my brushless motor in relation to my receiver. Because chassis space was tight on my custom chassis for my 1/8 buggy, I placed the receiver directly behind the motor (Feigao 540C 9L). My range extended to about 20ft. before it became uncontrollable. Since then I've found a new spot for it, and the range is much better.

It's also important to make sure your antenna wire doesn't touch metal, graphite, or carbon fiber. It should only touch plastic, from the receiver to the antenna tube.
boss 302 is correct in that you want to keep electronic components away from each other to avoid interference. When space requirements force you to put things close together, it may turn into a matter of trial and error to find out what placement works for the situation.

I have found that two cars can put things in the same spots but have different reactions.

Supermaxx. Using a different frequency radio will eliminate any interferance due to electronics - using a 2.4GHz radio will solve this

I am planning on buyin the nomadio. Mainly for it's realtime telemetry so I can see my Lipo batterys (22.2v) voltage to make sure it doesn't drop below 18v (3v per cell).
