basically an rc8t with Mike's kit...just thought I'd share :) pics show the truggy in track mode and bash mode.....I had no idea that the terra pins were THAT big!!!!...lol

specs:
MMM (water proofed)
2200kv motor
Tactic 2.4 rx/tx
5s 40C 4000mah flightmax

I've also owned BOTH the tekin rx8 and the MMM combos and I must say that I recently sold the rx8/1700kv/2000kv combo/motors I had due to back to back rotor failures.... I liked the CC neu's better..just my 2cents....also, i used to own a dx3s but really, all I ever adjusted and needed was on the tactic already...not a hardcore racer :) ....so i'm pretty happy with this set up

It looks really good!!!!! Have you driven it yet? Any input on Mike's kit? Thanks.

awesome, just did the conv myself, question i see the zippy flightmax , so it actually fits mikes battery tray? the HK.com says its 51 mm and mikes battery tray is 48mm
thanks

hootie7159 02.16.2010 12:06 AM

I actually cut the outer side of te battery tray off...holds up just fine :)

e-rev project 02.16.2010 07:34 PM

so why might i ask are you running the servo on it's side? also did you cut some of the rcm servo mount alum away?
thanks

hootie7159 02.16.2010 07:54 PM

yes..i cut the transponder holder part away..i wanted to run the servo on its side b/c i didn't have the stock rc8t radio tray that holds just the servo....BUUT i did have the parts needed to lay the servo down on its side...unfortunately....this rc8t is now FS on ebay... :(
the 1/8th scale track closest to me closed down and I don't feel like driving 1 hour one way in order to run an 1/8th scale when I have a 1/10th scale track that is 5 min away from me...lol

WHAT! I would drive 2hrs one way to keep from ever having to drive 1/10th again

WOW, I just noticed this was my 100th post!

hahaha....!!! it sucks that the 1/10th scale place only allows 1/10th scale trucks to run on their track..this place IS indoor's though.... :) hopefully with the release of the ten-t, other manufacturers will be releasing their versions of 4wd 1/10th scale truggies......not gonna hold my breath though...

hootie7159 02.16.2010 11:58 PM

Dude! Thats nothing. Ive got an 1:20 drive to the closest offroad track of any kind here. An hour sounds convenient to me. LOL

hootie7159 02.17.2010 05:35 PM

haha..true true....its one hour to the exit..then another 15-20 to get to the track....but i'd rather save $$$ on gas and/time to drive to a track that is both indoors and only 5 min away...it does suck though....i wanted to get to drive this thing but i figured i'd get more money if it wasn't used.....ah well...so goes the constant turnaround of RC's...

E-Revonut 02.17.2010 09:50 PM

I drove an hour to my track just about every Thursday last summer and plan on doing it again this summer. The drive there isn't bad but the drive home at 10:30PM after being up since 6AM or earlier sucks!
