New Turnigy Titanium HV Servos
 

Has anyone tried these yet? I am tempted to get one, but I have some reservations. On one hand $60 for a titanium gear servo sounds awesome. On the other hand by the time I pay for shipping it might be better to spend a few more bucks and go with a Hitec.

Looks good on paper. There is only one way to find out if they're worth it.

Speed of it seems nice, but the torque isn't nearly enough for anything large not to mention I don't see how you would run that much voltage? It would fry the RX well before 12V I would think.

you run the power wires direct to a battery and only the signal wire to the RX.

Yea, thats what I thought, but I don't think that would really be my choice to be honest. Seems like it could potentially complicate things quite a bit.

yeah, I prefer the simpler standard approach. It comes from the crawler world where power is king, which really makes me scratch my head at the low torque high voltage unit. Bragging rights maybe?

That fast one would be absolutely awesome in a heli or in a nitro R/C to try and keep up with a brushless. They need fast throttle :rofl:.

Edit: You could run 2S lipos with it as well.
