Tightening... 1.25mm?
I've received and built my Slipper.
It's easy to do, very straight forward. Only small problem I had was getting the pin through the output in the diffcup. I had to shorten the pin by about 1mm to make it go in easier. The bit that puzzles me is that it says to tighten it to 1.25mm... which seems REALLY tight, as aren't both the waved washers 1mm thick anyway? It would mean almost completely flattening them. It's hard to tighten by hand but got it this far... I'll do it up more once it is in the truck. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/uploads/..._714_22032.jpg |
Oh and I got no bearings in the kit? I used my old ones. I assume different models would need different diameter bearings but putting some fairly universal sized ones in wouldn't hurt.

Shortening the pin would not be necessary if you install the pins and outdrives into each endcap before assembly onto the diff cup(don't forget the bearings). The wavy washers are just under .5mm thick each - the picture looks like it should be a decent starting adjustment, but it will vary from vehicle to vehicle, track to track and also with different sized spur gears, so the 1.25mm is just a starting point. :)
