I'd go the Tekin RX8, the MMM has too high a failure rate, and failures in a dangerous manner for my taste.

The MMM failure rate is no higher than the Tekin RX8. That is also with the V1 and V2, the V3 and beyond has a much lower failure rate.

The funny thing is you have no personal experience with the RX8 and seem to have a vendetta against CC. Get over it, if you are so happy with the 5B why keep beating the dead horse?

The MMM is a solid controller, the RX8 is nice, but for the price difference not really worth it. The MMM is in no way unsafe and most of the failures are user error.

FYI, I own Tekin controllers too, so I am in no way anti Tekin either.

You should have been around a few years ago in BL, then you would actually know what a high failure rate is.

At our local track, the Tekin's have burned up alot more often then the MMM's. Part of the reason why I stuck with the MMM.

3 mmm's, and 2 hw 80 amp esc's here. No complaints here with any of them, I would def pick the mmm for the savage though. The hw 150 would probably be fine, but for that price you could pretty much pick up a mmm.

A MMM with a 1520 1600 kV on 5-6S would be great for your monster truck ! You need torque motor ;)
