New Turnigy 5s Lipo a dud!
 

After half a run with my new turnigy 5s 20c 5000mah lipo from hobbyking all of a sudden i lost 80% power and have realised that cell number 3 is a dud.(reading 0.00V now).I have tried charging it and the cell charges to say 3.5V,while the other cells are at 4.2.Then a few hours later the cell is empty.So im wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove that cell and make it 4s.
Or someone can buy it off me for a small fee...or someone can remove the dead cell for me,and i will pay a small fee,including postage to anyone in australia..

i have a turnigy 3s 30c 5000 mah battery from hobbyking and its working fine for me so far. i hope this does not happen to me. good luck trying to figure how to do that becuase i am still pretty new to lipo and dont know much about it.

I had that happen to a 5s 5Ah Turnigy pack as well. Cell 1 would charge up, but then self-discharge itself. No amount of balancing helped. I ended up getting a 2s pack and using one of the cells to replace the bad cell in the 5s pack and it has been fine ever since.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, but that's the gamble when getting such cheap packs.
