Rckcrwlr's 8ight e-Conversion

Ever since I sold my Kanai 2 several years ago, I have missed the fun of driving an 1/8th scale buggy. There is just something about them that draws you in.

Now that I'm fully immersed in RC Rockcrawling, the funds just weren't there to diversify.

Until now...

I found someone selling a Losi 8-ight 1.0 in great condition. Not only that, the guy bought a Tekno conversion for it and never ran it. It felt like it was meant to be... After negotiating the price...I had to..

Looks great - its still worth considering adding the RCM motor mount to this... Life;s much easier when the motor is attached to the centre diff.

I'll have to check that out. I bought the long shank pinion and mounts to eliminate the Mech brake.

It works but having to use the long shank pinions is a PITA and the mesh is better with the center diff mount...

That's what I am seeing...there is more chance for "wandering" with the longer shank...

I second that!!

i had the exact buggy and conversion. I ran a 1515/1Y and a 14T pinion on 4s. It's super nice! and performs great on the track! However changing and meshing the pinion just wasn't as easy as my 8ight-T with the RC-M mount...

My plan was a Feigao 10xl with a MMM and 5s LiPo...dialing in with a 13T Pinion...
